The Finished Product!!

One more item for the stall - check...

Yay!! I finished the apron I sketched yesterday. Check here to see the sketch.

I love the way it looks. I changed a few details from the sketch. I made the shoulder ties longer to make it adjustable for all sizes. So I had to drop the idea of the side bow as it was looking bulky on the shoulder. I added 2 D rings instead. Also, I changed the neck a little from square to a kind of semi-sweetheart style.

I will be adding this to my Etsy shop soon. :)

Designing Aprons...

Boy!! just realised it's been a long time since I sketched something. Whipped this up in a moment of inspiration... Hang in there to see how it turns out on fabric. Off I go to the cutting table now. :)

Pouch/Purse

A pouch for cosmetics, or if you’re like me, you can just dump everything else into it except cosmetics. :-)

I have this strange habit of carrying tons of stuff in my bag, like potty liners, bottles of sanitizer, lizol wipes, stapler, glue, folding scissors, a color wheel, and shopping bills for the past few years, hand cream, sunscreen, two pairs of sunglasses... too big a list. No wonder all the bags in my closet are big. I hardly have any small handbags.

How do people manage with small bags? Go figure…

Apron for little people...

Target 1: One more item for the the stall. CHECK.

A Reversable girls apron with a cute little pocket and contrast gathers at the bottom .

I made this apron with Alexander Henry's Fabric Collection. The fabric color on one side is cream (first snap) and the color on the other side is biege (the next 2 photographs). (Though the photographs do not do justice to how the colors really look).

PS: (Thank you Miss A for sparing your time for the photo session though you were busy practicing patio skating).

A pin in the hair and a pin in the Cushion…aka a Patchwork pincushion and a few fabric hair clips.

For the past two days, I was buried among piles of fabric, running around between my cutting table & sewing machines and trying to make more things than my hands can manage. (Did I forget to mention the wrist brace on my right hand? Hope it does not turn out something serious. Huh...). Here is the output of this effort and a few more are on the way. I am just whipping up a lot of items for the store.

I will surely keep posting more if I can remember to take a picture when the sun is still up. As of now I just could capture this picture in my camera. By the time I made other stuff it is already dark and the lighting at my home is not great for a pic.

Glass painting with Miss. A

Miss. A wanted to learn painting and so I decided to teach her with a few basics. I asked her what she wanted to paint and she said " Glass"!

With just little help from me, she learnt very fast and did an awesome job. I am so proud of her. :)
